Volunteer Entry Process Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue accepts applications during our open enrollment period. For the 2010-2011 Recruit Academy, the application process will be open and begin on Monday, November 1, 2010 and close on Friday, January 14, 2011. Applications will be accepted during this timeframe only. For questions, information or concerns, feel free to contact our Volunteer Liaison, Janey Gregory, by email or by phone at 360.575.6290. Once the application process closes, the evaluation of the applications begins. If you're accepted into the recruit academy, the general timeframe of the next steps are: February
